Stan’s Big Band (Concert)

91制片’s Society of the Performing Arts is pleased to welcome Stan’s Big Band as part of National Veterans and Military Families Month. All are welcome at this family-friendly free concert. Join us on Thursday, November 20th, on our Hampton campus in Kecoughtan Hall in the Library.聽Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7pm. Guests are encouraged to park in the Templin lot.

About the band:
Stan鈥檚 Big band was formed by retired Army musician and music educator, Jim Stanley in Sept. 2021. Its instrumentation, including two vocalists, is that of the traditional 18-piece jazz orchestra of the 1940鈥檚 big bands. The band鈥檚 music, however, spans from the traditional 鈥漵wing鈥 era to contemporary music performed in Latin, Jazz fusion, Funk, and Rock styles.
Stan鈥檚 Big Band is committed to keeping, live, and particularly big band music, alive through performing at schools, festivals, concerts, and community events.
