DESCRIPTION:91��Ƭ’s Society of the Performing Arts is pleased to welcome Stan’s Big Band as part of National Veterans and Military Families Month. All are welcome at this family-friendly free concert. Join us on Thursday\, November 20th\, on our Hampton campus in Kecoughtan Hall in the Library. Doors open at 6:30pm\, show begins at 7pm. Its instrumentation\, including two vocalists\, is that of the traditional 18-piece jazz orchestra of the 1940’s big bands. The band’s music\, however\, spans from the traditional ”swing” era to contemporary music performed in Latin\, Jazz fusion\, Funk\, and Rock styles.\n\nStan’s Big Band is committed to keeping\, live\, and particularly big band music\, alive through performing at schools\, festivals\, concerts\, and community events.
