Meet Presidential Ambassador Elysa Wainwright

With a penchant for research and long-time interest in law Elysa Wainwright is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies at 91Ƭ. To enhance her 91Ƭ experience, Wainwright looked to the ʰԳپǰ program.

Wainwright among five students serving for the 2025-2026 academic year, assisting the College for 10 months by participating in events and working in various roles on campus. Each Presidential Ambassador receives a $1,000 incentive and are mentored by the College leaders.

A James City County resident, she completed homeschooling in 2024. She enrolled at the College inspired by family and friends, who attended 91Ƭ and spoke highly of their experiences.

Wainwright is confident she’s getting the solid educational foundation necessary to launch her career. She aims to become a paralegal with a law firm after graduation.

In addition to serving as an ambassador at 91Ƭ, she enjoys being involved at her church, including helping with nursery care and Vacation Bible School.

Wainwright grateful for the opportunity to engage with 91Ƭ leaders and fellow ambassadors to further her personal and academic growth. She especially appreciates her parents for their support and encouragement, emphasizing they instilled the value of hard work and determination.
